Unico, theglobal digital ID network, has announced the promotion of Luis Felipe Monteiroto CEO for Latin America. Monteiro, who joined the company in early 2025 asVice President of Institutional Relations, will now spearhead the company’sregional operations.
The newleadership structure consolidates growth, client relations, and institutionalengagement under a single mandate. This shift reflects Unico’s rapid expansionmomentum and the strategic importance of Latin America within its globalportfolio. Since joiningthe firm, Monteiro has been a pivotal force in Unico’s institutional strategy,positioning the company at the forefront of critical dialogues regardingdigital identity, privacy, and security. In his expanded role, he will managerelationships with Unico’s most strategic accounts and oversee the integrationof cross-functional initiatives driving regional growth.

With over 25years of experience, Monteiro has built a distinguished career at theintersection of technology, finance, and government. He previously served asBrazil’s Secretary of Digital Government and as the nation’s representative tothe OECD, where he led the creation of Gov.br, now the world’s largest digital government platform with over 160million users. Under his leadership, the World Bank recognized Brazil as thesecond most advanced nation in digital government.
In 2020, theWorld Economic Forum and Apolitical named Monteiro one of the 50 mostinfluential people globally. In addition to his leadership at Unico, he serveson the board of the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF).
